Our farm

Our farm used to be a working farm, but that was a long time ago. It has been gradually converted into a purely holiday farm.


You can park your car directly in the courtyard or, for a small fee, in one of our garages. Relax in the hot summer days or in the snow and ice of winter. We are happy to pick up train passengers from the Gersfeld train station by appointment.


Whether you're hiking or biking, you can start right here, as we're located directly on several hiking and biking trails. Attractive destinations like the Cascade Gorge, the Red Moor, and, of course, the Wasserkuppe are all within easy reach. Our proximity to Hesse's highest mountain also makes our accommodations ideal for glider pilots, model aircraft pilots, paragliders, hang gliders, and skiers.


Back after an active day, you can relax in our wonderful sauna barrel. Perhaps you can stay up a little longer and enjoy the beautiful starry sky of the Rhön Star Park.

Prices and included services


  • The basic price always applies to stays of 3 nights or more for 2 people. For each additional person aged 6 and over, we charge €10 per day. Children under 6 stay free of charge when booking directly.
  • The minimum stay is 3 days, and 4 days on holidays. Shorter stays are possible upon request and subject to availability, subject to an additional charge.
  • Costs for heating, electricity and water are included.
  • Bed linen and towels are also included.
  • Parking in our courtyard is free for one car per apartment for house guests. Electric cars can be charged at the wallbox at a self-agreed rate (intercharge) or via direct payment at the displayed rate. A/C Type 2 plug is required.
  • E-bikes can be charged free of charge at a household socket.


tourism tax


  • We are required to collect a tourism tax and pay it to the town of Gersfeld. In return, you will receive a guest card with attractive discounts.
  • The fee is €2.10 per day per person aged 14 and over. Exemption from the fee applies to severely disabled people who require an accompanying person, including the accompanying person and the fifth and each additional person in a family household.


Sauna barrel


  • The barrel offers enough space for up to four people.
  • We charge a flat rate of €15 per family/small group. The usage time is approximately 90 minutes, with each additional hour costing €10.
  • Included is the rental of sauna towels, which will be provided for you in the sauna anteroom. The anteroom also offers space to undress and store personal belongings.
  • BONUS for longer stays: For stays of 5 days or more, you can use the sauna barrel once free of charge (duration of use: 90 minutes, longer use according to the above fee).


Garage


  • For €5 per night, we offer one of our two garages with electric roller shutters. If you are traveling with a second car, we can reserve a garage for you. Please reserve in advance; availability is subject to availability.
